Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you'll be greeted by your private driver and transferred to your traditional riad in the heart of the medina. After settling in, enjoy a welcome mint tea ceremony followed by a guided orientation walk through the nearby lanes. This evening, gather for a welcome dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant where you'll sample local delicacies while being introduced to the rich culinary heritage of Morocco.
Your welcome dinner includes a curated tasting menu featuring classic Moroccan dishes like tagine, pastilla, and couscous. Ask your host about the spice blends used - they'll often share family secrets about their ras el hanout mixture!
La Maison Arabe Riad
A luxurious traditional riad with an authentic Moroccan atmosphere in the heart of the medina. Originally opened in 1946 as Marrakech's first restaurant, it's now a boutique hotel blending Moorish elegance with modern comforts.
Marrakech Medina Exploration
Immerse yourself in Marrakech's historic medina with a full day of guided exploration. Visit the magnificent Bahia Palace with its intricate tilework, the atmospheric Saadian Tombs, and the iconic Koutoubia Mosque. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the labyrinthine souks with their artisan workshops and colorful stalls. End the day at the famous Djemaa el-Fna square as it comes alive with street performers, storytellers, and food vendors at sunset.
The best lighting for photographs in Djemaa el-Fna square is during "golden hour" - about one hour before sunset. Your guide can position you at an ideal rooftop café for panoramic shots of the square as it transforms for evening festivities.

After a day of exploration, relax in the riad's hammam or take a refreshing dip in the courtyard pool. Their piano bar offers live music most evenings, creating a sophisticated atmosphere for pre-dinner cocktails.
Atlas Mountains Day Trip & Agafay Desert
Depart Marrakech this morning for a day trip to the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Travel through changing landscapes and traditional Berber villages, stopping at a local Berber home for tea and homemade bread. Enjoy a guided hike through terraced fields and walnut groves, meeting local villagers along the way. In the late afternoon, continue to the lunar-like landscape of the Agafay Desert. Check into your luxury desert camp and enjoy a sunset camel trek, followed by a traditional dinner under the stars.
Although less than an hour from Marrakech, temperatures in the Agafay Desert can drop significantly at night. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap even in summer months for the evening dinner under the stars.
